Life Journey of On Kawara (1) - On Kawara in the Studio.

This is the first painting in my series of three paintings depicting the life journey of the Japanese artist On Kawara. All three paintings are created using only the colors red, blue, black, and white, as these were the only colors On Kawara used in his work. On Kawara is renowned for his date-paintings, which are paintings featuring dates. In this painting, On Kawara is depicted in his studio, working on one of his date-paintings. Various date-paintings are also displayed on the wall.

Life Journey of On Kawara (2) - On Kawara Traveling.

This is the second painting in a series of three paintings depicting the life journey of the Japanese artist On Kawara. All three paintings are created using only the colors red, blue, black, and white, as these were the only colors On Kawara used in his work. On Kawara traveled extensively during his life, and during these travels, he sent telegrams to his friends and family. These telegrams were quite peculiar, and as a result, they are now displayed in several museums around the world. For instance, he sent telegrams with the text "I Went" multiple times, and alongside the telegram, he included a map where he precisely marked the route he walked that day with a red line. In this painting, a few of these telegrams are depicted. Additionally, you can see On Kawara (on the balcony) in Paris, the city he loved to visit.

This is the third painting in my series of three paintings depicting the life journey of the Japanese artist On Kawara. All three paintings are created using only the colors red, blue, black, and white, as these were the only colors On Kawara used in his work. On Kawara is renowned for his date-paintings, which are paintings featuring dates. In this painting, On Kawara is depicted in a museum where his work is displayed. This painting primarily delves into the mysterious character of On Kawara. He never wanted to give interviews, and there are only a few photos of him available. In this painting, you can see On Kawara standing alone in front of one of his own paintings, avoiding the spotlight, while another room in the background contains many other people admiring his artwork. This painting illustrates that On Kawara preferred not to be in the spotlight and thus chose not to mingle among the other viewers of his work.
